Varg Vikernes is back on JewTube. Link: https://www.youtube.com/@officialvarg14 He goes by the name of "Thulêan ReconQuest" now.
What even is this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua8mA8vpp38
I never understood /int/'s obession with this guy. He's fine a as a lolcow but I saw many Bernds genuinely consider his ramblings and care about his opinions.

>>16035 He's funny and likes Morrowind.
>>16037 Love for Morrowind.
>>16037 >he's funny and likes morrowind That's describing me and probably every other imageboard adjacent millenial.
I don't like Morrowind.
>>16038 I keep an installation on an external HD because the mod scene is still quite active.
>>16043 Keinbernd.

>>16043 I expected better from you. >>16045 Bernd really should try to get Tamriel Rebuild to work with OpenMW, sadly it's quite the chore.
>>16407 if you have a copy of morrowind, like a pirated gog version, getting tamriel rebuild to work is as easy as getting an official DLC like the bloodmoon to work.
>>16407 I don't use OpenMW precisely because of many mod incompatibilities (Merlords mods are a must for me), however it shouldn't be the case with TR.
>>16416 It really sucks, that the steam version isn't easily modable. Ruining one of the greatest games while charging 15€ for it is very todd. >>16417 Looked into it a year or two ago, it is possible to run TR with OpenMW, but it is way to complicated for me. Waiting for someone to provide a tard friendly solution. Turning every Varg thread into a Morrowind thread is Bernds favorite Internet tradition.
>>16035 When I was into the classic 90's era norwegian black metal stuff, I adored him for his music. Burzum might not seem too special today because tens of thousands of retards tried to copy it, but its still imho the most important band for the scene, and its even more impressive that this guy wrote most of the stuff when he was 18-23. That was true outside-of-the-box stuff. Absolutely astounding. What saved his reputation (for me) was that he was in jail and kept his mouth shut. When he got released, I got kinda excited and was hoping for newer burzum stuff with real instruments and all that shit, but then he decided to just stick to absolute shit music for some reason, and also started his xitter and youtube career and I quickly realized this guy ist just dumb as bricks. An absolute lolcow, big mouth, habitual liar, changes his opinions with every turn of the weather vane, and almost never any idea what he is even talking about. I miss the times when he was just an image in my head, not an actual retard with opinions on twitter.
>>16618 >I miss the times when he was just an image in my head, not an actual retard with opinions on twitter. You evolved and he didn't.. That's a good sign
>>16651 He was the one who taught me to never meet your idols (well, not really to meet them, but to look at their social media). I think I never got any positive experience out of getting to know my favourite illustrators, musicians, authors better. Most of the times I was just let down. Varg is the most extreme example, though. Never had a harsher contrast between the bold, unorthodox, outside-of-the box approach he had with his music back then, and the brainless babbling he puts out in any other regard.
>>16674 Yeah I have a similar experience with someone who I saw as a true saint. Literally everyone is flawed. I kind of use that knowledge to excuse/forgive my own flaws now.
>>16037 Lol we are on the dislike list twice >>16040 can it skyrimhead
>>16038 This image is 10 years old and still true.
>>16618 Varg didn't change at all. He was writing about the same stuff that he's talking about now. Tribalism, norse mythology etc. -- read his articles in Aske and Filosofem (those are small booklets with a few issues each, released by norland forlag in the 90s). Yes, his MLP and Album have the same title.
>>16618 That describes him very accurately.
>>16699 >can it skyrimhead But I hate Skyrim. Why would you call someone who likes TESIII a skyrimhead? are you dumb?
>>16955 That was indeed very rude of him.
>Louis Cuckshed Cringe larper
>>17348 That guy basically shaped a whole new music genre alone in 1991, being the main influence to ten thousands of upcoming Black Metal bands, you should be more in awe. First wave bands like Bathory, Celtic Frost etc. might have been the original Black Metal creators, but the second wave became much bigger and more influential, mostly due to Varg and his music and "promo" actions, such as churchburnings and stabbing his fellow friend 23 times in the back. Regardless of how much of a cringelord and a hypocrite he is, he's still one of the most influential guys in this genre.
>>17618 According to Discogs this is my most valuable record. If I were to put it up for sale for 450 Euros it would be gone within a short while. Standard is 600+. Crazy.
>>17626 Better sell it now. Death's "Symbolic" album (Varg desperately hates "Death", and calls Chuck an "early lifer", because he was a literally a Austrian Jew) was also scarce as fuck treated like a treasure on Discogs, until there was a re-release in 2025.
>>17634 With these collector's items the emotional value usually far surpasses the monetary one, unless he's really desperate for cash.
>>17618 >this genre Too bad i don't give 3 fucks about black metal and only attend concerts of respective bands once in a blue moon.
>>17638 You fucker shut neck yourself if you think you can police participation in threads. Especially in a thread about Varg and not about Black Metal Now go and cry a river you mentally underage cringelord.
>>17637 Well, you fucker shouldn't participate in this thread at all then, because you're just another annoying shitposter then. Is this really the KC that you desire?
>>17640 see >>17639 Thanks for confirming any negative assumptions one could have about the mental developement of the average black metal kiddie.
>>17634 Damn, I only have a few older ones, the latest being Human.
I don't like Black metal or metal or rock but I will post in this thread anyway to spite the metal and rock people.
>>17662 Not even cool Prog Rock? You're missing out.
>>17682 I don't know what that is, the only metal/rock thing I like is this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBeCXN1kyNI
>>17683 Prog rock is very broad. Pink Floyd, early Genesis, even track related despite there being hardly any electric guitar.
>>17696 I mean, just listen to that crazy mix. Circus music at 14:00 directly followed by a guitar solo followed by choir. Or the dramatic climax starting at 20:30.
>>17696 I don't like it.
>>17703 What do you like? If you post anime music I will personally come to your place to slap you.
>>17705 Watch your tone, boy. I'm this close to packing.
>>17696 thx, saved, pretty nice
