What made you choose image boards? And by extension what made you choose Krautchan?
>>17443 Imageboards because you can post anonymously without registration and all that nagging stuff like on forums and social media. And Krautchan because /b/ is in German and Bernd also likes to shitpost in his own language. Was some time on Kohl. From 2018-2020 but stopped when 'cos it became to cancerous.
Imageboards were fun back in the day. Today I don't really like most boards, especially international boards seem to all be the same shit with retards and toxic people arguing about everything and government trolls and shills stirring the pot. No good memes, no fun or epic threads or anything. I didn't really choose Krautchan. My "main" board is still a small dying Finnish board because it still has a touch of oldschool imageboard culture and good memes and everything but it's so slow these days that I'm trying to fill the void with other boards, including Krautchan, but they just don't seem to work.
You don't need to register, you can talk about anything and they're decently active. I liked that Krautchan doesn't have a captcha and you can copy images and stuff like that.
I reached 4chan on a quest for porn. Came for the booba, stayed for.... something else, I can't even say what. Probably the juvenile anarchism it provided 20 years ago.
>>17445 Ylilauta or did it go the way of 2channel and Krautchan?
>>17443 Back then I was attracted to black and cynical humor and I liked the chaotic nature of imageboards. It was very random fun. I remember, that I went from 4chan to Krautchan and was pretty confused at first and didn't even post for a whole year, because I was scared of being detected as a Neubiene. Krautchan always had more of a community feel than 4chan, because of the restriction to a local region for me.
>What made you choose image boards? Novelty. >And by extension what made you choose Krautchan? Novelty.
1- no accounts 2- can discuss anything whatsoever 3- porn 4- simple interface, can share almost any kind of file 5- despite the simplicity, the fact that you can upload images means you can upload basically the entirety of the internet. Audio is secondary on the internet (and computers in general). I chose KC back then because it had much better interface than 4chan. BR ibs were quick to copy it, but they are fucking garbage, ran by anti-socials who don't know what's true free speech and steer the board into certain directions.
There was lots of gay stuff on early imageboards
>>17474 >3- porn I hate Brazilian posters so much for this, they're constantly horny, so they spread this filth everywhere they go.
>>17488 Like traps? Bernd came to IBs because of them. Because femboys are the best girls.
>>17491 Shouldn't you have an austriaball?
Didn't chose shit. This place chose me. It owns me.
>>17491 Yea i was the trap

I was banned from most online forums because I acted like a retard and because I was underage, eventually I found a place where I couldn't get banned and had funny memes so I stayed. I found out about KC from a friend of mine over IRC, I have no idea why he would recommend me KC especially because KC at the time wasn't really very much popular and the community was sort of close-knit. KC had ebin memes and assburgers discussions which made for a good place to go and have great many fun with lots of friends (I had lost all of mine in real IRL life) and it was the best decision I ever made.
>>17531 Why did you spend your time on IRC? what's so great about it?

>>17534 I don't even remember why I was on IRC or even what it was called, it was a long time ago. Maybe I was just lonely and had no friends, it was probably that. I am not sure what drew me in to IRC at first, but I made friends and felt less lonely, I guess that was good. I might have spent too long on computers even as a child so it should have been pretty normal to try and form relationships over the internet with people.
>>17536 Looks like it's AI generated
It just had more charm than 4chan. Krautchan /int/ was an unique place, 4chan copied it and it never was as good even after they introduced flags.
>>17538 I wish there were flags on all 4chan boards.
no need to register in order to post anonymity old threads die fast and well of course images. in other forums you had to upload pics to another website and awkwardly embed them to your post. whereas on a superior japanese imageboard it's neat and standardized. one pic per post and they're all the same size. i never liked forums because they were full of ancient threads full of comments. i didn't even know where to start reading them.
>>17443 >What made you choose image boards The feeling like in my early internets. Just go online and be cool.
Eh, got used to and stuck with it.
>>17538 >4chan copied it and it never was as good even after they introduced flags was it really kc to first introduce country flags-balls?
>>17598 Yes, flags first and then balls. 4chan /int/ was opened around 2011/12 and had flags introduced a year or so later, don't remember when exactly.
Less chance of being banned for saying the wrong thing than anywhere else, but I haven't chosen any site in particular. They're all good for different things.
