Are imaginary friends an actual thing or is it just a media trope? t. never had any
who are you talking to?
I have plenty.
The imaginary friends are here on KC.
My classmate in middle school had one when he was a child and got some kind of therapy. I have no reason to doubt his story. For children in particular it is probably not uncommon to have imaginary friends and characters in your head.
That's what religion is.

>>30988 what lovely 2001 graphics it looks perfect
>>30938 It always struck me as an American media trope. Probably a cultural psychological issue unique to America.
I had some, but I think it was because I watched foster's home of imaginary friends as a kid or because my parents told me kid usually had one. So I had imaginary friends to conform
>>31094 I thought the same. Maybe a combination of American exceptionalism combined with children's cartoon influence and lack of social cohesion.
