Damn Bernd, they need to protect consumers from cheap products with free shipping...
Yeah like electronics going up in flames or kids toys with kanker inducing chemicals.
It's kind of depressing how many people do spend so much money on useless cheap Chinese junk.
>>31682 This. It's pure crap. Soulles, non-repairable, short-lived, plastic, sometimes hazardous and just overall terrible.
>>31695 >>31682 Isn't that due to demand, though? I hear a lot of car guys talk about "Chinesium" parts..which seems to have a sort of racist ring to it. Though it's not like Chinese people are incapable of making high quality goods. There's a demand for super cheap shit and they're filling it. (not saying you guys are being racist)
One of my prediction when Trump started with the tariffs on China was that EU would not retaliate but rather also impose tariffs on China simply because there would be an oversupply of stuff from there.
why not just increase tariffs? We have mega taxes on everything except chinese garbage.
>>31727 I suppose it depends on where you draw the line on this kind of stuff. False advertising is already not allowed, and this kind of junk could be argued as a part of that.
Stopped ordering electric and electronic junk from Ali a long time ago. Too much hassle with making complaints and getting my money back. But non-electric spare parts for laptops were OK...ish. Did not want to event bother with other ones after they appeared later. Sadly the EU does not have balls to hit Amazon with fines and stop them from selling same untested and dangerous crap.
>>31736 Yeah I didn't think of the false advertising angle. There's some truth to that for sure.
>>31743 I've not used Amazon in years. Usually countries have a (slightly) better local alternative.
>>31755 Ordering things on Amazon during corona was le epic. They removed shipping fees for everything under a certain amount, and the shekel was very strong as a currency. I stopped even buying things on a pharmacy back then, I would just order shampoo from Amazon. Sadly the situation isn't like this anymore and they are overpriced shit.
>>31649 Based, fuck these chineseslop buyers, and fuck you too you fucking Freier.
>>31727 >demand lol lmao even it's because NPC's can only feel some kinda joy when they buy useless junk because their life is shit. But instead of doing something to better their life they distract themselves with little trinkets.
>>32121 For some things, chinesium is all you need though. I don't need a 80 CHF phone case made from recycled contact lenses produced with love and care in Kreis 4. I need a piece of plastic that protects my phone from impacts when I drop it. They cost cents to produce and I'm willing to pay a few francs to have them shipped to me even.
I'm pretty sure that's a butthurt reaction to the CS dolls that were sold on Shein a couple of weeks ago. I don't really care. Never bought any of that cheap chink shit from (((Temu))), although it would be a shame if I had to pay tariffs for buying chinese SoCs on AliExpress.
