A few years ago I joined a small group of bernds (they might also have been ernsts I don't remember) to create a new jRPG game. As far as I remember, we had a level designer, a story writer, and a programmer (me). The story was going to be something like a group of characters investigate the remains of ancient giants. Naturally the project fell apart like these things usually do. I wonder if those bernds are still around though. This new-KC seems like the kind of board they'd be on.
You can't make a JRPG if you are not J.
>>31968 Then it would be a wRPG with a suspiciously eastern gameplay style
>>32114 What gameplay style and why is that suspicious?
Amateur game development has to be very demoralizing unless you're really doing it purely for the love of it. Extremely demanding with very high odds of failing to break through even if you manage to put together something playable.
>>32194 None of us had ever been involved in game development so there was no real expectation we'd make any money from it. If I were to try making one now, I'd probably try to do it properly enough to put it up for sale somewhere, but with the expectation that financial success is not the norm
>>31966 I remember some bernd asked to do a game about fishing. I did 3d models of several fish and fishing rod - I just was learning 3d modelling then.
>>32359 Did he ever finish the game?
>>32360 No, I think he had some personal issues at the time. Oh and don’t mind the countryball changing. I came to Poland to photograph strategic infrastructure.
>>32365 lol the excuses people make because they just get bored of a project t. doer of such in the past
