Not a regular anime watcher, but how is watching a 2-hour movie or one to many 20-minutes episodes the same as shifting your attention every 5-10 seconds? I'd say watching anime and having an imageboard next to it and constantly switching focus between the two is similar to the brain damage caused by TikTok.
