Have you ever had an office romance, Burneds? Do you think there can come something good out of it or is it always doomed from the beginning?
kein threda
I've never had an office.
I've never had an romance.
>>8265 How so, if you never actually had one?
>>8289 only a kein could contribute to this threda as OP intended
Bernd once had carnal relations with a woman from work, bad idea.
>>8261 >doomed from the beginning It's more like this.
>>8295 Can you extrapolate why it’s a bad idea
yes, over 20 years ago. Part time at IKEA. I worked in the B2B support section and shit. Had a thing going on with one of the interior design architects. I worked there for like eight months, or so. The whole relationship lasted maybe a month or so, up until around three weeks before me leaving.
>>8309 It's bad because when/if your relationship ends, you are still forced to see each other. Also depends if bitch be crazy - which could cause problems otherwise. But there used to be this cute couple that worked together late at night on 3rd shift where they were the only two in their office at that time. It seemed to work well for them.
Yes. I had an office romance that was never fulfilled, with an Arab woman, she left the company just recently and I feel devastated. When she was leaving I was invited to this intimate farewell party of like 8 people, from this group I knew actually only her, and they were all waiting for me. She said a farewell speech, when she finished she said "Bernd, wipe the tears out of your eyes", I laughed awkwardly, then they all continued. I also went out on a date with a desperate cringe woman from my office who was hitting on me. I thankfully moved department and gave a cold shoulder to her since. There is a married woman who flirts with me too, I fail to understand her intentions.
I need your help, Bernds. At work I’m close to a woman, we are basically office friends. I have been having a crush on her for over a year already, but I want to return to having a normal colleague relationship to her like to my other colleagues. I want to overcome „having a crush“, because I know it leads to nothing and only keeps me imprisoned by desire and temptation. But how do I that? I can’t just completely shun her or distance myself, because that would be cruel and weird and I’d like to continue having friendly relations, I just want to change my feelings about her. What do the relationship experts of KC advise in such cases?
I work in railroads Only fellow Bernd/Bydlo The one woman I see in 200 days is friendly grandma type or fridge
>>9139 Oh Bernd, if humans could control their emotions like that, most of human literature would make no sense and a lot of human history would be different. If it's really bothering you, request to work in a different department. Some distance might help you get over it and once you are, you can try again with a professional or friendly relationship.

me not, since i'm an assburger but there are several married couples at my workplace and they are doing just fine
>>9145 >I work in railroads how come you never made a thread about your job? i'm sure you have tons of interesting stories
>>9149 I believe you can learn how to control your emotions.
Yes. It worked out fine... for now
>>9156 The generation of our grandparents tried hard and failed. "Maybe I can make myself love my spouse" just lead to 50 years of sad life. The same way you cannot remove your crush on someone on demand.
I have one coworker I have chemistry with but to my relief she got a bf recently. Would've been awkward. We still flirt but it's nbd.
>>9166 Is she the one with the pill? I think it was a Bavaria ball who posted that.
>>9168 I'm not that guy. I don't think I've ever mentioned her on any board.
>>9166 How is that a relief? Don't you just get jealous?
>>9173 Nod rly. I'm not the jealous type. And my thought process around this is basically >>8317. We're a small company and we've both been with it for several years now, and probably will continue to be.
I have never worked in an office. My industry is 99% men.
>>8261 My unstable artist collegue was like "We should fuck when I get fired." Thought it was a joke. It wasn't. And now I'm annoyed because I don't get more.
>>9190 Steel workers of America?
>>9190 >>9209 Keep reaching for that rainbow.
Office romances never work, but office friendship with benefits is always the better option
