Fug. Also having lowest growth. Please cull me.
This value means nothing. 2.2 is low, but the prices for regular groceries are still high as fuck
>>8870 Dude what our newspapers are full that everything in Austr*a costs like 50-100% more than in Germany.
>>8872 Why would you compare it? For you, only the Austrian price is high and that's unpleasant for you. For me, it's the same, doesn't really matter, whether one is worse than the other. Unless you plan to move.
>>8873 They call it "Österreich Aufschlag". It makes people mad that Austrian products like Mannerschnitten and Red Bull are much cheaper in Germany than here. People on the border drive shopping to Bavaria.
>>8873 Why wouldn't you? In Germany, things became much more expensive. Many people used to go shopping in Germany because of low prices, but it's almost not worth it anymore. The same goes for restaurants. Fuck that shit, I'm not paying 16-18€ for a pizza that used to cost 10 a few years ago. Looking across a border is a good indicator of how things are developing on either side of the border.
The Euro was an enormous mistake
>>8881 I have no idea why inns and restaurants are still alive. What kind of retards pay those prices? Even fucking Mc Donalds costs like 10 dollars to fill the belly. Its insanity. >>8882 Indeed.
>>8896 >I have no idea why inns and restaurants are still alive. They are dying.
Why this is happening in Austria? Energy prices?
>>8902 It went apeshit after sanctions for Russia. We bent ourselves over with that.
>>8904 >We bent ourselves over with that. That was the plan.
>>8904 The Austrian government not limiting prices is a general issue that's existed long before the sanctions against Russia. The current inflation hike was again caused by the government first subsidizing things for consumers and then failing to keep companies from exploiting that at the same time. Pretty much everything in the world is cheaper in Germany. German consumers are simply extremely price sensitive and they are many. Just ask an Italian, they will also tell you Italian products are cheaper in Germany.
>>8904 But it's higher than Germany and even Netherlands. Why.
>>8881 Because 99% of Austria don't go shopping in other countries. You're just a leech, a fucking traitor who leaves our country, but still wants to profit from low prices.

>>8923 We have no ports and are deeply landlocked. Which sucks in a world where boats are most cost efficient transports. But yea that isnt the full story since it doesnt explain why austrian products are much cheaper in germany than austria.
>>8925 > We have no ports and are deeply landlocked. So the Vienna Container harbour, the third-largest trimodal terminal in Europe, doesn't actually exist? Interesting. And the other harbours are also just fakes?
>>8941 t. Germ who doesn’t know what landlocked means
