Bernd, do you wear a watch? Which one do you prefer: traditional, electronic or smartwatches?
I have a smartwatch. I don't see the point of normal watches besides fashion. They tell you the time, but I work in front a screen with a clock in the corner. When I'm outside, I can look at my phone, it's like a pocket watch.
For multiple years I wore a Casio F91W. But late last year I switched to a G-Shock GW-M5610U, because I wanted tough solar (so no battery swap needed) and multi band 6 (automatic setting of the time). Very satisfied with it, it’s also not too big, although I have a relatively small wrist.
>>9021 >Casio F91W Based terrorism enjoyer
>>9020 Imagine having to pull out your phone every time you want to know what time it is. I tried a smart watch couple of years ago and what I liked the most was the easy payment option, just hold your wrist against the card counter and done.
I wear no watch. I am the watch ...
>>9023 >Imagine having to pull out your phone every time you want to know what time it is. Well, like I said, I wear a smart watch. It's just that I don't look at the time so much. I wear it for the other features.
>>9020 > When I'm outside, I can look at my phone, it's like a pocket watch. It's a matter of habit, I've been wearing a watch since age of 6, I guess. (I'm 30 now). I recently gave up smartwatches in favor of traditional ones because of practicality. I really don't like that smartwatches require a certain gesture to activate the screen. >>9021 > F91W Legend, inshallah
>>9026 And Casio watches especially Gshock are nearly indestructible, smartwatches have broken screens instantly if you drop them or something hits your wrist
I've thought about getting a pocket watch but I don't know that I can really justify it.
>>9027 >And Casio watches especially Gshock are nearly indestructible Unlike their EX-S770 camera.
I would prefer a mix of traditional and digital. Like a traditional clock face but with a small digital screen for the date.
>>9036 Are you that Finn with the Bambino?
>>9017 Yeah, on my phone screen in my pocket.
no, i have no reasons to look at the time so often that i would need to wear a wristwatch
>>9024 This. Watches are for peasants. Kings own time.
I use a smartwatch for the health tracking stuff, mostly distance walked and sleep. Specially sleep. But the cheap straps they come with/make for them are such a pain to deal with.
>>9111 I recommend a clone of the Apple sport loop. It's really comfy.
>>9112 yeah, I've seen those and that was next of the list to try out. But I have a mi band 4 so you don't even find straps for it online anymore. Got a pack of 5 different straps a few years ago and been burning through them. Once this one is gone I'm upgrading. Or maybe I'll just make one with paracord.
>>9114 This looks like the one I'm using: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007144181909.html
>>9115 Ah, nice. Sometimes I forget aliexpress even exists
