This thread is for serious shitpost discussing. Shitposts are seriously the best thing that ever happened on every imageboard. They instantly make you feel laughing and they really bring much needed funnyness in anyone's day, espesially after bad day at work or outside of work.

Baste. Welcome home, Bernd.
I like lurking there for the one off, meme from 100 years ago. Every now and again you get some gold, like this recipe: Stroganoff (allegedly Hungarian) Ingredients: 600 g beef, 1 tablespoon paprika powder, 200 g bacon, 2 onions, 4 carrots, 2 large parsley roots, 1 medium celery root, celery leaves, parsley leaves, 1 kg potatoes, pinch noodles made from 2 eggs, salt, pepper, caraway seeds. Preparation: Fry the bacon, then add the finely chopped onions. Add a bit of salt to prevent the onions from burning and help them soften. Add the diced beef, sprinkle with caraway seeds and paprika powder, then pour in a little water. Cook until the meat is almost tender. Add the diced potatoes and other chopped vegetables to the meat, and add enough water to make it a soup consistency. Add the chopped celery and parsley leaves toward the end of cooking. Prepare the pinch noodles, and once the goulash comes to a boil again, add them and cook until everything is done.
How come bans are global over there? If you break the rules on one board, why is it that you're barred from posting on other boards too? Is it only the mod on /int/ who does that?

Book thread. What is Bernd reading? This is the first book I've tried to read in Spanish, following a pensive young man in Madrid in the years before the Spanish-American War. I don't understand 100% but it's still enjoyable. Lots of relatable bildungsruminations. Baroja is a good writer and I like exploring fin de siecle Madrid.

>>29429 I read Peter Camenzind for the first time this or last year also generally liked it, although it’s still a bit rough around the edges as his first long novel. I also recommend Hesse‘s book on St. Francis which is related to the story of Peter Camenzind.
there was a question to me from a German Bernd about my thoughts on 1984 by Orwell and its comparison to the Brave New World by Huxley. so I've finished 1984, hence pros: - outstanding powerful beginning - those semi-detached, almost non-personal narrations of the future world were the best part - 10/10 - the painstaking description of the totalitarian tools and techniques like doublethink, memory hole, etc. - 10/10 they have become part of our language for a reason - the love story among the non-believers part - bearable and somewhat cute - 7/10 still don't think it was that necessary to be that long cons: - very poor ending: ~ those humiliation and tortures scenes were blandly written, not in the sense that I demand more pithy cruel details, but that it was a half-ass effort to show what victims feel - 4/10 ~ the conceptual dispute between the protagonist and the bad guy was not very impressive - 5/10 ~ the betrayal of a loved one - again not very convincing (come on, people betray the loves of their lives as we speak without any totalitarian force interfering - so what?) - 2/10 finally, I'd give it a lower overall score if not for the 2 things in the end: - that looking at the mirror 'last humane man' scene - 10/10 - the linguistics part returning to the de-personalized way of presenting this future - 8/10 overall 7/10 comparing to Huxley, I'd say both books are great at the very start with those separate torn out of context flash-bang pictures of the world to come; then they descend in the middle also, I'd add that for a truly emotional depiction of suffering in the Nazi/Stalinist regimes I'd recommend Vassily Grossman's Life and Fate - touched me gravely
I was glad to discover that this classic of Christian mysticism is available as a German ebook.
>>30526 I didn't like that book. It was depressing and the ending was bad.
If that one Bernd is still here who bought Aufrichtige Erzählungen..., I also recommend this one. It's a nice selection of the Philokalia, if you don't want to buy the whole thing as it's very long and expensive.

Also fuck yeah for that, the only bit of news of that recent gaming event thing that had my heart skip a beat. And a year or two after release, even the price will be right. Probably should get back to the AC school of flight first before trying to get into more delicate stuff.

Baby steps! You won't tear your wings off in this game, but turns out once planes don't turn like in AC, you gotta fly with a bit of foresight in mind. So free flight it is for now, no more bots in the skies. Took that heavy lifter for a spin, seems very forgiving while also teaching basic helicoptry, which as well, turns out mighty harder then often implied. If you try to yank the attack heli off the pad on full throttle, it will just turn out of control, gotta ease her up... Easier to imagine like space flight except with *spits* gravity in mind. Crossed the city nicely, did that "fuck yeah" overfly flares maneuver to please the people and aimed for the next airbase. Only missed the helipad by a click or so and even managed to deploy the APC, which would had successfully undeployed if the landing gear would have been engaged at this very moment. Baby steps!

Decided it's time to wield the big black bomber with nuclear armaments into the skies. First attempt against a carrier went so-so, all 8 strategic nukes got intercepted and during landing the tarmac was more a suggestion, as the plane quickly skid off it into a seemingly accepted parking position. Second try with tactical ballistic missiles was better. After effortlessly spiraling high in friendly territory, I snotted my nucular payload towards the enemies carrier escort and land hangar while enjoying a scenic route keeping a mountain range between the target an me. Their AA got saturated with the first few warheads and multiple hits on target and hopefully the adjacent hangars and carrier as well. RTB was reported nice and the runway was just overshot by maybe 50 meters, 100 max, no bluescreen to report for the maintenance crews today!

Doing a map wide conquest game, first round of jousting with cheap trainers went well, managed to offload my whole payload into enemy light ground attack planes and even scored a gun kill. Then managed to land under fire while deploying flares and finally found out the correct wheel brake button, had to take the road back to the hangars, but no more overshooting from here on out. Stupid tutorial implying B, when it's Y on my XBox controller. Then, cash vested, I tried sneaking a gunship to a AA emplacement, but the moment I popped over the ridge, 3 others had a lock on and the final screenshot even shows my cargo of ground attack WIESELs flung around wildly as I go down once against...

Oh look at that, strategic nukes unlocked while Bernd is chilling in ze hangar, time to load up. Bernd snuck close to the sea around the operational area, cucking a frigate for a radar lock on. Then he took up into the skies and unleashed all 4 radiation seeking missiles into the enemies rear base, emptying the wing pylons and reducing RCS. Had to do an unnecessary dive, as I was preoccupied managing ECM against desperate attempts to bring me down, which made me overshoot the bombs trajectory and once released, Bernd was too occupied taking pictures and got locked by all kind of stuff. But, with 1 of the nucular bombs going off, the whole base was eradicated on Börnds behalf :3 This should win us the round while Bernd enjoys the sunset from his Lauer-seat far above.

The 6.5x25 CBJ is rated up to a maximum of 300 meters, the High Energy Transfer variant just 50 meters. If only delivers a maximum of 800 J after all. The .277 Fury still delivers those 800 J after more than a kilometer. If you have to be at minimum 300 meters from a target to be effective, you can also start throwing rocks. 6.5x25 was designed for law enforcement and the CJB variant is the show-off.
