It’s summer and many beautiful women are walking around, sometimes in skimpy clothes. How do you react when you see such? Do you stare at them or shyly look away?

>>7222 Totally the same thing bro
>>7223 It's something pretty you can enjoy even without dipping in.
>>7222 Beauty can only be seen and regarded. True, a Bernd may never feel the touch of a woman but looking at her beauty from afar, he gets the exact same look at her like her husband. You don't think a lot about beauty during sex.
>>5944 I try to ignore them, but sometime it occurs, that my instinct gets the best of me.

Why the Swiss Post is so good? According to the UPU reports, they handle 230 items per capita annually. Meanwhile the Israel Post handles 26.3, the Deutsche Post handles 65.5 and the Japan Post handles 144.
3 posts omitted.
>>8048 You can also compare estimated items lost per year. Israel Post loses around 1.3 to 2.6 items per capita every year. Swiss Post loses 0.09 to 0.26. In 2023 data... So Israel Post loses 3 or 5 times more items, parcels and mails than Swiss Post.
What counts as an 'item'? Is it just packages or all mail? The amount of mail in many if not all countries has been drastically reducing since digitalization has removed the need for it. Finnish Post has had so little mail to deliver that they've been in trouble and had to look for other things to do on the side of delivering mail such as mowing lawns etc.
>>8054 Items is everything. But Swiss Post seems to handle an absurd amount of physical parcels; in 2023 they handled 200 million physical parcels, Israel Post handled 50 million, Japan Post handled 500 million and Deutsche Post DHL handled 2.1 billion. It is modest against global giants like USPS or Deutsche Post, but compared with their population it is an insane amount.
Wouldn't that be more of an indicator of how many packages the average Swiss orders in a year rather than how good their postal service is?

Keked at this one. Gook wasnt sure if kidding or not.
>>7913 Honestly, it's pretty weird to give a wrong model for him to sign. How does this compute in that gook's head to have T-1000's signature on T-800's head?
>>7913 The way he's dying inside, unsure if the gweilo is serious or not.
I would probably act the same. I often can't tell when people are joking like that.

Krautkanal seems to be slowly growing. There are a couple of countryballs I hadn't seen before, but now they seem to be there every day. Inb4 some schizo is using a VPN

>>7990 >in a cartoon forum I don't see much cartoons here. Maybe you kidult wish this was a cartoon forum, but it doesn't seem to be that.

>>7905 >Yesterday got ban just for short play/test with one particular word filter (what btw also were provoked by another Bernd or the mod himself, and not on my inital idea). What belike wasn't the real reason for the ban, but just a good opportunity banning me, without modfag having to expose himself as leftist censor rat. No, Spaѕѕt. You have been banned, because you made up Q-Anon like conspiracy theories, just because you are to retarded to figure out the word filters. And then you started not only insulting Swiss-Ball but also the mods. Even you can't be that dumb to not understand, where the ban is coming from. Also, apparently your ban was pretty short. Maybe to short even. >>7916 >Why that ban on this came 1-1,5 day later, and exactly at that time and in the middle of a debate where the board leftards gone losing any ground? >This is fairly smelly. You just are not important enough for immediate action. Besides, everyone had, and still has, a good laugh about you. So why ruin everyone fun while you are making a fool out of yourself?

>>7819 You’re a beautiful man, Bernd.
>>7818 my nose got shifted to the left from getting hit with a right. hard to breathe out one nostril

Well, there wasn't one yet. Bernd posts what he's reading or the last thing he's read. For me it's this war novel, which I started just two days ago and have actually heard about from its 2017 film adaptation. It is also my first Finnish book as far as I can remember.

>>7945 I wonder, do we need a new book thread or just keep using the old one?
>>7374 Got me a neat hardcover. It's pretty good. I can see why it can be theologically controversial, but the general message of the actual story I find decent. Of course this will be heavily ridiculed by all kinds of protestants and whatnot, but I find it way more appealing than their modernist and modernised religious and institutionalised version of faith. >>8039 It's in the bottom 3rd of the catalog already, I think it's fine to start a new one.

Bernd disposed his glass and metal waste, inflated the tyres of his bicycle and bled the hydraulic brakes. The latter was only partially successful, the feel is better but not as good as Bernd hoped. Maybe a full oil change would be necessary. Also, Bernd went grocery shopping.

>>7866 That’s pretty cool. I guess, you also speak Latin? Or can you study Ancient Greek without learning it?
>>7866 I don't know anyone who studied Greek or Latin, but people who studied things you get made fun of on /pol/. They have the wildest spread of jobs. From something like bartending to managing in companies and government offices in different fields. Also, changing to computer science seems to be quite popular. The higher you switch. The easier it gets. You won't be able to compete with young programmers, but you can learn to manage a software engineering project if you have a talent for that.
>>7871 Friend of mine has a doctorate in medieval history. He now manages social media for some pharma company.
>>7867 Probably... >>7870 We both can read Greek and Latin, just each of us better in our own favoured languages. I should think you could learn either on your own, but it is far easier with a good teacher. I had an retired lecturer who taught me when I was a teenager, I repaid him with tech support >>7871 I don't think one should care about their opinions very much, very fleshly types. I was pleased to see kc returned as I missed the serious discussions. Both of us got funding at our colleges, and have good relationships with senior academics in other places. But the university sector is collapsing unfortunately. I don't know either of us would like IT very much but needs must I suppose >>7872 Doesn't sound so bad. Better than being an office drone I guess
>>7857 >I find it's best to just accept it and live for yourself. Society isn't beautiful but the world is. This is just the only way that's left and Bernd is doing. But that's just not very fulfilling.

Bernd, there is this famous zen koan: When Banzan was walking through a market he overheard a conversation between a butcher and his customer. "Give me the best piece of meat you have," said the customer. "Everything in my shop is the best," replied the butcher. "You cannot find here any piece of meat that is not the best." At these words Banzan became enlightened. I don't understand it. What lead him to enlightenment? The butcher was lying, there are bad and worse pieces, some have more meat, some have more fat, some are less fresh. The butcher was just trying to sell more.

>>7654 Your brother was lazy cunt.
>>7654 Maybe I'm a cynical cunt, but why wasn't Buddhism in Japan mainly a tool for power and bureaucracy? Why would anyone go there for Buddhism? That's probably true for most religions around the world, but in Japan I noticed this particularly strongly. N.B. I know next to nothing about Buddhism in Japan before the edo period.
>>7625 You are missing the point. It doesnt really matter what koan is about, it just meditation object. Student puts efforts to "solve" koan while teacher refutes any logical answer to the point when student loses all hope and his conceptual mind explodes. Yes, there are books with answers to koans with commentary and explanation but it doesnt work like that.
>>7654 He was into soto zen or rinzai?
